The new AFSC Constitution and By-Laws were adopted @ the January member meeting. A copy can be found below. Also the following items were discussed.
Discussed was the popularity of hosting our Bluebonnet competition at the Hicks Cedar Park Center (CPC) in 2012 and the possibility of hosting it there again in 2013. In order to host Bluebonnet 2013 at CPC, AFSC would need to trade weekends with another competition. The membership voted to host Bluebonnet in 2013 only if we can trade weekends with the other completion, thus enabling us to have it in June at CPC. If we cannot get the weekend in June in 2013, then we will skip this year and start working on our 2014 schedule. While we are all loath to skip a year of hosting Bluebonnet, the overwhelming opinion was that our participants, both local and visitors, would prefer wait a year to participate at a Bluebonnet hosted again at CPC.
Additional items discussed were the creation of our Junior Club (see "Junior Club" page for more information) and our adoption of Intuit’s GoPayment system for credit card processing. All membership fees are to be paid at the time of joining the Austin Figure Skating Club. Please put the application in the Club box at Chaparral Ice or send to the PO box listed in the top right corner of our website pages.

Please note that to renew your membership you must have 10 hours if you want to be awarded a discount on your membership.
*These dues are in place July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2015 and will not increase during that time.
First Family Membership: $50*
Subsequent Family Membership: $20*
Synchronized Skating Teams: $25
Basic Skills Membership: $12*
Fewer than 50 members: no increase (remains $50)*
50 but fewer than 100 members: $100*
100 but fewer than 200: $200*
200 but fewer than 300: $300*
300 but fewer than 400: $400*
400 or more: $500*
In addition, there is an online portal administration fee that allows U.S. Figure Skating to deliver important services via the internet.
The Administrative Fee is calculated based on the table below.
Alternatively, we may pay by Echeck with a $1 fee per transaction.
